Driver's Education is offered through the Mountain Lake Community Education Program. Please see attached fliers on classes.
Mountain Lake Community Education Driver's Training Class
The Community Education Drivers Education class includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind- the- wheel training. Before taking the behind- the -wheel training the student must complete the classroom portion and pass the driver’s permit test. The classroom schedule is set and the behind –the-wheel training is scheduled individually with the instructor.
Students must take both the classroom and behind -the -wheel sessions. Attendance for all hours is mandatory.
Community Education needs 10 registered students to be able to hold the class. The next session of Driver’s Education will start on October 31, 2016. Register for class by October 24, 2016. If there are not enough students registered, the class will be canceled.

Thirty (30) hours of instruction is required by MN law. Please make this class your priority.
No makeup classes will be offered.
Steps to getting Your Drivers License:
*Take 30 hours of classroom training.
*Must be 15, take and pass permit test.
*Take six hours of Behind -the -Wheel training.
*Must have permit for 6 months before taking driving exam.
*Must be 16, take and pass driver’s license exam.
