*Please note the Mountain Lake Community Education Drivers Class will be held 1X a year in the summer, please plan accordingly.* Questions/Registration 427-2325 ext. 5.
The Community Education Drivers Education class includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind- the- wheel training. Before taking the behind- the -wheel training the student must complete the classroom portion and pass the driver’s permit test. The classroom schedule is set and the behind –the-wheel training is set between the instructor and student. Students must take both the classroom and behind -the -wheel sessions. Attendance for all hours is mandatory.
Community Education needs 10 registered students to be able to hold the class. The 2017 Driver’s Education will start on June 5. Register for class by May 19, 2017. A deposit of $40 must accompany the registration. This is to hold your place and is nonrefundable. It will be applied to the total fee. If not enough students register the class will be canceled. Register in the Superintendent’s Office.
Dates of 2017 Classroom Instruction: June 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and June 12, 13, 14

Steps to getting Your Drivers License
*Take 30 hours of classroom training.
*Must be 15, take and pass permit test.
*Take six hours of Behind -the -Wheel training.
*Must have permit for 6 months before taking driving exam.
*Must be 16, take and pass driver’s license exam.
