We had a wonderful showing at the State FFA Convention! Here are some highlights:
- Our chapter was ranked Superior - Gold and will move onto Nationals for Judging.
- Teams that competed were: Ag Mechanics, Best Informed Greenhand (placed 12th) with Danika placing 16th out of 449 individuals, Fish/Wildlife, Forestry, Livestock Evaluation, Milk Quality & Products (Placed 10th), Nursery/Landscape (Placed 10th), Soils and Nevaeh Ott competed in Talent and was a top 10 individual.
- We also had 6 state choir members, 2 delegates, 2 foundation ambassadors and 10 members receive their State FFA Degree
- Finally, we had 5 other teams compete and place in the Top 5 teams in the state, they are:
The Ag Sales team placing 5th with Amiyah Oakland placing 10th individually.
Food Science placed 4th as a team
Crops placed 2nd as a team with Reagan placing 5th, Ashlyn placing 6th, and Aidan Olson placing 7th individually.
The Farm Business Management team placed 2nd (only losing by 4 points) Zach Klassen placed 5th individually, and Kody Wassman was the 1st Overall Individual (he is the back to back individual State Champion in this contest).
Lastly, the Floriculture team took 1st PLACE! Individually, Izzy Penner earned 8th place and Kathryn Wassman placed 10th
